Galal Chater - Founder & CEO

Galal Chater

Founder & CEO

Galal Chater is Founder and CEO of AION Productions. An Arab-American storyteller, he brings authentic Middle Eastern narratives to global audiences through premium animation. As a second-generation entrepreneur who co-owns Mamoun's Falafel (the oldest continuously operating falafel restaurant in the United States), Galal understands both cultural preservation and commercial scale. He is also an attorney (J.D., NY Bar 1999), bringing legal and business acumen to creative development and deal structuring. Galal's deep connection to his Damascus heritage informs AION's mission: reimagining Arab mythology, history, and futurism for audiences who have never seen themselves as heroes in epic fantasy and science fiction. At AION, Galal combines entrepreneurial leadership with insider cultural knowledge to create stories that honor Arab voices while appealing to global markets.
